Ciber Kickstarter Finals 2013

Image
Yesterday the Ciber Kickstarter 2013 finals took place. Five finalists took the stage and presented their idea to the jury in order to win the “innovator of the year award”.  Some background How did we get there? What started out as “ So You Think You Can Innovate ” in 2011 and 2012, turned into Ciber Kickstarter in 2013. Still a gamification of innovation ideas, extended with a ‘social’ element:  Submit your idea on our site and get funding to work on your project. Funding not like real money, but with friends, people who like your idea on LinkedIn with a voting button. To make it to the next round the jury evaluated every idea on a few aspects: Innovative value Fit with Ciber portfolio Presentation of the idea  Number of votes on LinkedIn With the initiative we want to create a platform to facilitate innovative ideas. Don’t just think of it, create it! See how it grows into a working prototype. Get support and coaching from Ciber management and join...

SAP User Experience event

Image
The Future is NOW!  That was our main theme for an SAP User Experience event on October 3rd. It is referring to the current possibilities to improve the user experience within the SAP world without having to migrate to the latest new release of ECC. You can do it today! And that is a good thing as User Experience (UX in short) is hot, even for SAP as it is one of SAP’s main focus points for 2013. We all know where SAP came from with the grey/blue transaction screens ;-)  Picture from SAP Design Guild , some more historic screens at their site. Finally we now realised that it not about the transaction to be executed but about an end-to-end business process . And to really support the user of this process a user-friendly user interface is key. It is the difference between searching for the information you need and supporting your business process. That is how you can identify a good user experience.

SAP NL Forum, Enterprise Mobility back to earth

Image
This year we did some collaboration with our SRM colleagues. Service lines SAP NetWeaver and SAP SRM came up with the idea to bring Enterprise Mobility back to earth . To show so we found dare-devil-colleague Diederick Bossenbroek who agreed to do some abseiling from SAP HQ NL. Together with Jan Laros they first did a presentation on Enterprise Mobility: Nice hype, but what is Enterprise Mobility? Where do I start? What about security? Can you accompany me, I don't like a ' big bang '. And after convincing Diederick, he came back to earth. More pictures in my Flickr album .

SAP NetWeaver plans – No slides just songs

Image
When we (service line managers CIBER ) got together to share our plans for 2012, I decided to not do a powerpoint or prezi again. Back to a small cue card and only supported by 6 songs. Doing things differently in order to make sure that the SAP NetWeaver message could not be forgotten by my colleagues. In my presentation I asked what songs I was playing and what would be the link to my story. In this blog I will help you with that ;-) Plans for CIBER's SAP NetWeaver service line on four topics: People, Projects, Innovation and Promotion. First song was Doe Maar – 'Is dit alles / Is this everything', a song by a famous Dutch band from the 80’s. The song states that you have everything that you want but that there still is this feeling that there must me more … As I stated in a previous blog, I am very proud on our 2011 achievements.  It was a good year, but I still think that there is more to achieve with our team. People On the People site, we are growing towa...
